Tables drawing up approach

1. International debt securities – eurobonds, Credit Linked Notes (CLN), Euro Commercial Papers (ECP) – issues are taking into account in drawing up the tables.
2. The tables are built on the par value basis.
3. The issues amounts are calculated in US dollars. In case of the other currency of denomination the issue amount is recounted to USD
4. Only issues lead-managers are listed in the tables. Other issue syndicate participants are not included. Book-runners and lead-managers are not distinguished.
5. The issue amount is divided proportionally among the lead-managers.
6. Data on the entities forming a one group is listed under one brand name.
7. Issues placed in year 2003 are taken into account.

23 issues of CLN and eurobonds of Russian issuers totaled USD8.698 bln placed in 2003 are taken into account in league tables. 4 issues of Kazakhstan’s issuers totaled USD950 mln and 4 issues of Ukraine’s issuers totaled USD1310 mln placed in 2003 are also taken into account.
